Querido Famila y Amigos,
On Saturday we went to San Justo to see the baptism of two of the conversos of Hermana Gç-. She worked with one for 6 months, and the other for 3 before being transferred to Ituzaingo, so she was emotional and they were emotional. Her compañera that worked in SJ with her is in Atalya with my previous companion now, so they came too, plus the 4 Hermanas of San Justo A and B. So there were 8 misionaras there, and we sang "Te Hallaré Mi Querido Amigo" (our mission song!) (I`ll Find You My Friend), while I played piano. And the investigator that Hna Gç- taught for 6 months cried. It was beautiful.
Cultura: Everyone has fences, bars over the windows and doors, etc. The keys are like the keys in old movies--like in Cinderella. The church also has a big gate around it, and bars on the windows and doors, and an alarm system that you have to turn off when you walk in.
It has been raining a ton, and Hermana Gç- has fear on lighting and thunder, so it gets exciting. But it is super great, because it cools everything down, and we get to use our boots and walk through all of the streams of water in the streets! So that´s exciting!

On Sunday we went to look for some investigators to bring them to church. We passed our Mision Leader in the street, so we said hi to him, and kept going. We didn`t find our investigators, but when we were returning, a chico passed us and said that they were going to church and that he was going to change. We didn`t know what was going on, but we saw our Mission Leader further on, and he told us that he had passed the couple sitting outside a house and invited them to church and that they were going to come. We waited outside for them, and the girl left her house and the chico came back from his and came to church with us. They stayed for the classes, but left before Sacrament Meeting. But Principios del Evangelio was about the Plan of Salvation and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She had a lot of great questions, and they participated really well in the class.
Also, our pareja (couple) that is going to get married 7 Febrero came to church with all of their kids! A- said the opening prayer in Principios. P- is going to have a surgery this week, and has to stay in the hospital for one week (so it`s going to be crazy in their house with all 5 of the kids--the baby has 3 months). And then right after she leaves the hospital they are going to get married. And then the next day or next week they are going to get baptized! (The kids are already members:)
Earrings that our mission leader bought us. |
